We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as an E&S Underwriter Trainee.  In this role, you will train to underwrite risk that determines the selection/rejection of new and renewal commercial business.  The trainee will gain an understanding of the underwriting thought process and learn to utilize underwriting guidelines, procedures, rating manual rules and insurance laws/regulations. Additionally, the Trainee will learn the skills required to develop and maintain strong relationships with agents and insureds within assigned territory. The trainee will participate in an extensive training program involving instruction and self-study combined with on-the-job shadowing that will provide the opportunity to learn the business.
