About the Role Location: Fully remote within the continental United States.  Use of AI data in insurance pricing entails regulatory review by state departments of insurance. When a carrier intends to use Nearmap data in its rates, both the carrier’s own actuaries and state insurance regulators can come back with various questions and/or objections. Many are predictable and specific: how was ground truth for an attribute determined, what do the goodness-of-fit metrics look like on held-out data? Others have never been asked before and have yet to be fully answered.  You will be the actuarial voice inside Nearmap’s and our customers’ rate filings.
