Position Summary The Property Underwriter is responsible for evaluating, pricing, and structuring commercial property risks across both primary and excess layers. This role requires strong technical underwriting judgment, the ability to analyze catastrophe exposure and layered/tower placements, and close collaboration with brokers, reinsurers, and carrier partners to grow a profitable book of business within delegated authority. What will your job entail? Key Responsibilities Underwrite new and renewal commercial property business on both a primary and excess basis, evaluating risk quality, exposure, and pricing adequacy in accordance with underwriting guidelines and delegated authority. Analyze property schedules, statement of values (SOVs), loss runs, COPE data (Construction, Occupancy, Protection, Exposure), and engineering reports to assess risk. Evaluate catastrophe (CAT) exposures — including wind, flood, earthquake, and wildfire — using modeling tools (e.g.,...
