Overview The Nonprofit Underwriter is responsible for driving profitable new business growth and managing the performance of an assigned portfolio of nonprofit agents and producers. Serving as the primary relationship manager for assigned agency partners, this role combines underwriting expertise, strategic agency management, and portfolio oversight to influence production, profitability, and portfolio quality. The Underwriter partners with agents to develop new business opportunities, improve submission quality, and expand market presence while ensuring compliance with Company underwriting authority, pricing standards, and corporate objectives. Overview Underwrites individual risk for acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms and conditions for nonprofits by developing, analyzing and evaluating information with a high level of authority. Achieves production and loss ratio goals with assigned agents / brokers by reviewing and analyzing claims, loss history and taking appropriate action on accounts. Exercises a high level of authority and judgment with minimal direction.  Fosters positive business relationships with co-workers, agents, and brokers.  Responsible for research, development and presentation of new classes of business including market viability, forms development, and manuals.
