Job Description: The Network Engineer I is an entry level position and will work with customers on implementation and upgrades of their network infrastructure as well as respond to issues related to the customer network. They plan for and evaluate new and existing network systems and services between multiple platforms and protocols. This includes but is not limited to routers, circuits, internet, switches, firewalls, ISP, cabling, VPN connections, unified communications, call-center management, etc. Network Engineers that obtain work from a task system are primarily customer-facing. Their work includes device migrations, network infrastructure, installations, and coordinating with QA and/or Risk Management to ensure configuration integrity and compliance.
