Acuity is seeking a Mail Room Clerk to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all mail operations. The Mail Room Clerk is responsible for picking up, sorting, and delivering internal mail; opening and organizing mail received from the Post Office; and preparing and posting all outgoing mail and parcels to support efficient daily business operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Opens, sorts, and delivers incoming mail. 20%
Collects, sorts, and delivers interoffice mail. 25%
Racks and closes agency mail. 17%
Determines most economical delivery option and posts outgoing mail and parcels accordingly. 9%
Inserts documents in preparation for mailing with a computerized insertion machine. 8%
Prepares envelopes for daily mailings. 5%
Works on special mailings as requested. 5%
Delivers supplies internally. 1%
Processes mail returned from the Post Office as undeliverable. 3%
Performs maintenance on the photocopy machines. 1%
