SUMMARY: The Underwriting Support Specialist II performs a variety of underwriting support tasks to ensure proper file documentation and policy issuance. Point of contact with agents and internal stakeholders.  RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: Performs underwriting tasks as determined by supervising underwriting, within letter of authority, including new/renewal business screening, renewal and endorsement underwriting, referring exceptions to the supervising underwriter Review bind requests for completeness, follow-up on missing items, and work with underwriter to ensure all documentation and information is complete and acceptable.  Convert bind requests into policy typing packets so that policies can be typed and issued. Manage diaries and follow-ups for information on accounts. Process endorsements. Rate new and renewal accounts as required. Review all inspections and prepare findings for underwriters.
