Job Summary The Facilities Engineering Technician, working under direct supervision, is responsible to perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems and conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties. The role tests and inspects life-safety, emergency, and lighting systems according to state and local codes and assists in the installation and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. The role performs HVAC operations, troubleshooting and repairs. The role also assists in performing analyses of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, and safety processes, and recommends and implements improvements.
