Acuity is seeking a Claims Intern to promptly investigate assigned claims to determine specifics surrounding a loss. This includes providing superior customer service to all involved parties, as well as obtaining information via phone, fax and email from agents, doctors, attorneys and other external parties involved in the claim. In this role you will preform an investigation and evaluation process by determining coverage under the insurance policy, evaluating liability, assessing damages, and forecasting reserves. We are looking for a motivated Claims Appraisal Services Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in reviewing, writing, and approving auto physical damage estimates, assisting with subrogation demands, and communicating with repair shops regarding repair and supplemental damages.
