Markets companies' products and services to assigned Commercial Lines accounts and independent agencies. Selects agencies through identification of qualified partnerships and is the primary person involved in developing and maintaining agency relationships. Leads the underwriting (i.e., selection/rejection of new and renewal business) for assigned territory/book of business; primarily for new business and larger, more complex accounts. Manages components of development, growth and profitability for book of business and/or assigned territory. Collaborates as needed with office underwriting staff; particularly on smaller accounts and renewals. Regularly travels to key markets/accounts and remains highly visible in the marketplace.
