SUMMARY:  This job serves as a key resource and is the most senior of this job family. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining accurate, compliant financial records through journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports for the Enterprise. Contacts include various customers and vendors of the Enterprise, both internal and external, including policyholders, claimants, banking institutions and agents. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  · Reviews general ledger entries and electronic banking transactions for accuracy. The incumbent is expected to perform at a high level with minimum supervision.     Primarily responsible for the investigation and management of workers’ compensation claims. Conducts a 1 to 3-point contact on the managed claims, which is dependent on either the facts of the case or the claim type; determines compensability of claims, manages the medical treatment program, and assists in the return-to-work process.   The Accounting and Compliance Associate is responsible for managing the revenue process, performing accounting duties, and supporting the compliance function. The revenue process includes generating invoices, applying cash, reconciling accounts, and managing collections. The accounting process includes processing vendor invoices, recording payments and receipts, and preparing reports. The compliance process includes assisting with regulatory filings, licensing, certifications, tax filings, and data calls.
