Our formal Summer Internship Program is ten (10) weeks (June 2nd - August 5th), part-time* (<30 hrs./wk.) and provides in-person opportunities in Fort Worth, TX. 

We’re looking for energetic college students, entering your Junior or Senior year for the following role: 

Communications Intern 

Overview: We're looking for a motivated current student or recent graduate to join our Corporate Marketing and Communications team for an eight-week summer internship focused on internal, employee-facing communications. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world experience writing, editing, and producing content that reaches our entire workforce. This role is based in our Fort Worth, Texas, office and reports to the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications and Brand Development. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Write and publish internal news stories for the employee intranet and newsletter
  • Draft invitations and promotional content for internal events
  • Support the development of copy for internal advertising and campaigns
  • Write scripts for short internal videos and announcements
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing and Communications team on day-to-day content needs
  • Brainstorm and pitch story ideas that engage employees

Requirements:  

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
  • Strong written communication skills and a knack for clear, engaging storytelling
  • Comfortable meeting daily/tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior newsletter, campus media or professional writing experience
  • Interest in corporate or internal communications
  • A curious, team-oriented mindset and openness to feedback
  • Familiarity with AP Style
