Summary

The Jewelers Mutual Claims Internship position is designed to offer challenging and rewarding experiences related to Personal Lines claim tasks and responsibilities. The program is ideal for students looking for professional development within a customer-facing team charged with adjudicating $100M in personal jewelry insurance claims annually.

What You’ll Do:  

• Assist licensed claim examiners with key claim handling tasks.
• Provide input on claim processes and controls.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policy language.
• Review claim documentation provided by jewelers, field adjusters, attorneys, etc.
• Investigate and provide input on potential fraudulent claims.
• Learn jewelry, diamond, and watch basics.
• Expedite claim payments with accuracy.
• Evaluate claim vendor performance.
• Review and Interpret claim reports, including trend analysis.
• May support SIU/fraud & quality initiatives throughout the claims department.

What You’ll Bring:    

Minimum Qualifications  

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management & Insurance or a related field
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
