Solutions Architect - QA

DESCRIPTION:
The QA Architect is the strategic visionary for the Quality Assurance organization, responsible for defining the future of quality engineering, testing practices, and QA governance across the enterprise. In partnership with the QA Manager, this role establishes the QA vision, roadmap, standards, and architecture while driving innovation in automation, quality engineering, and emerging testing capabilities. The QA Architect ensures quality remains a competitive advantage by creating scalable frameworks, influencing technology strategy, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality solutions through consistent and modern QA practices. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy across all facets of Information Technology 
• Establish standardized QA processes, tools, and metrics across all product lines. 
• Partner with third-party vendors and suppliers to ensure external deliverables meet internal quality standards  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development, Product, DevOps, and Security to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC. 
• Works with other senior members, managers and architects to assess/introduce/implement new quality assurance frameworks, tools and processes. 
• Manage QA environments and data needs across multiple tiers (Dev, QA, UAT/Stage, Production), ensuring alignment with deployment and release schedules. 
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives based on defect trends and quality metrics. 
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA, automation, and environment management. 
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
• Strong understanding of environment management practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy) and containerized deployments 
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio and TestOps, postman, Loadrunner, and Azure Devops
