Key Responsibilities:
Learn and utilize the agency management system to support employee benefits analysis, reporting, and client deliverables
Develop a foundational understanding of the employee benefits industry, including health and welfare plans, compliance requirements, and carrier operations
Support benefits analysts, service, and sales teams by shadowing client meetings and internal strategy discussions
Assist with data analysis, entry, and validation related to employee benefits plans, renewals, and client reporting
Compile and maintain records, reports, and benefit plan documentation to support client service and compliance efforts
Support the PCORI project and other regulatory and compliance-related initiatives within the benefits practice
Research and analyze employee benefits data files for group clients, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
Gain exposure to the clients we serve and the industries they operate in, with an emphasis on benefits strategy and cost management
Learn about benefits carriers and vendors, including plan structures, funding arrangements, and reporting requirements
Build an understanding of key employee benefits coverages and how they are applied to meet client needs and objectives
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
Preferred majors include, Risk Management & Insurance, Acturarial Science, Mathematics, Business Management, or related fields
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professionally
