Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day account management support for the client service team, ensuring smooth coordination of client work.
- Utilize technology and systems to set up, maintain and update benefit websites for clients.
- Support new and renewal business by collecting information, preparing RFPs and proposals, and assisting with marketing and presentation materials.
- Maintain and update client accounts, including processing employee changes, new hires, enrollments, renewals, and case setup/service.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance by reviewing policies, applications, endorsements, premiums, invoicing, SPDs, and performing audits and data quality checks.
- Manage client, sales, and financial activity, including production reports, revenue tracking, retention metrics, and carrier payment history.
- Communicate and follow up with clients, vendors, carriers, and internal teams to resolve issues related to contracts, underwriting, and account administration.
- Coordinate meetings and project activities, including scheduling, agendas, timelines, vendor coordination, and travel arrangements when needed.
- Provide administrative and project support, including file maintenance, invoice processing, research, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- Licensing: Active state specific Life & Health Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
- Experience: 0-2 years previous work or internship experience in an office environment, preferably in an insurance, employee benefits or provider organization.
- Benefits Knowledge, Principles, & Practice: Invests in the development of insurance benefits knowledge, including changing and emerging industry trends, and applies relevant principles and practices throughout daily responsibilities.
- Relationship Management: Actively fosters relationships by seeking to understand appropriate parties, prioritizing problem solving, and collaborating to deliver unique and impactful solutions.
- Workflow & Systems Knowledge: Actively contributes to defined workflows, including related processes, procedures, and deliverables, and utilizing resources to deliver a world class client experience and adhering to compliance requirements.
