Program Operations & Business Development Manager

Job Description

Mid Mountain Insurance Agency (MMIA), a Fortegra company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Operations & Business Development Manager to support the expansion of MMIA’s distribution efforts and retail agency capabilities. The ideal candidate excels at coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and enabling agents with the information, tools, and processes needed to drive sales growth.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance operations, business development, program support, or agency distribution
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing multi-step projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple programs simultaneously
  • Comfortable working with data, lead lists, and performance tracking
  • Experience in agency operations, MGA programs, or insurance distribution support preferred
  • Familiarity with Property & Casualty and specialty/E&S product structures preffered
  • Working knowledge of lead-gen tools, CRM systems, or agent workflow platforms preferred
  • Ability to build structured documentation and process maps preferred

Primary Job Functions:

  • Coordinate with MGA partners, carriers, underwriting teams, and MMIA leadership to develop launch plans for new agency programs.
  • Build operational frameworks and supporting materials that enable agents to confidently discuss, quote, and service new product offerings
  • Partner closely with the Omaha sales team to align call campaigns, training schedules, and program workflows
  • Manage lead-sourcing processes, including defining target segments, identifying outreach lists, and ensuring agent-ready data quality
  • Support program evaluation by tracking outreach activity, lead quality, agent feedback, and overall performance metrics
  • Prepare internal documentation such as program summaries, procedures, FAQs, scripts, and pilot reporting for leadership and partners
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between Fortegra departments (underwriting, compliance, product, regulatory, operations) and the MMIA field team
