Marketing Representative (Hybrid)

Job Description

The Marketing Representative (Hybrid) will work closely with marketing managers and sales team to promote lead generation and create upsell opportunities. They will assist agents with growth through promotion of company products and services. In addition to looking ahead to anticipate and help identify the kind of new products required in a changing personal and commercial environment. This position will fulfill a Marketing Representative role covering the areas of Delaware, Broome, Chenango, Otsego and Madison counties and surrounding areas as needed. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust knowledge of all product lines and services.
  • Execute marketing strategies.
  • Engage in daily agency interactions either in person or virtually.
  • Proficiently communicate underwriting processes, company growth/sales initiatives, pricing goals and rate changes, and products.
  • Create customized agency growth plans.
  • Report weekly/monthly on the status of field marketing activities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth through new agency appointments and book transfers.
  • Provide market intelligence to internal teams to support development of new products.
  • Chronicle daily activities/interactions by utilizing company assigned databases/tools.
  • Document and share customer intelligence with the sales team.
  • Track expenses in an organized fashion.
  • Cultivate and develop good working relationships within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing agency relationships to engage in growth conversations.
  • Attend industry events/functions to cultivate relationships and sell products.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

  • High School diploma
  • Business experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
  • Valid New York State Driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Proficient and thorough working knowledge of underwriting guidelines, company growth/sales initiatives, pricing goals and rate changes, and company products.
  • Working knowledge of product management data.
  • Proficiency in agency contracts and monthly experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of coverages claims handling, and accounts as well as familiarity with internal technology systems.
  • Ability to evaluate and maintain agent relationships for profitability.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to make accurate, timely decisions.
  • Documentation, organizational, prioritization, and multi-task skills.
  • Strong oral, listening, and written communications skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Strong professional interpersonal skills.
  • Professional adaptable approach to independent or team work and change.

Market Range: 8 / Exempt / 40 hours per week / Hybrid - Travel is a primary function and required a majority of the time

Salary: $56,542 - $87,954

Company vehicle and all equipment (laptop, phone) is provided
