Cyber Claim Representative

Overview

We are a growing Cyber/Technology Claims team with offices nationwide. This role is ideal for an early‑career claims professional or attorney interested in developing expertise in cyber, technology, and data privacy claims. The Cyber Claim Representative will handle a portfolio of first‑ and third‑party cyber claims under the guidance of more experienced team members, while working closely with insureds, brokers, outside counsel, and internal partners. This position supports accurate, consistent claim handling and contributes to strong client relationships and portfolio performance.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the investigation, analysis, and evaluation of first‑ and third‑party cyber claims, including coverage, liability, and damages
  • Manage assigned claims through resolution in accordance with best practices and established guidelines
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and approved vendors, including monitoring case progress and invoices
  • Support claims and litigation strategy development in collaboration with senior claims staff
  • Identify claim issues and escalate trends or concerns as appropriate
  • Maintain timely, accurate claim documentation and reserves
  • Support underwriting and internal partners by responding to claim‑related inquiries
  • Assist with the collection and review of claims data and reporting
  • Communicate professionally with insureds, brokers, counsel, and vendors throughout the claim lifecycle

 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in insurance claims, cyber/technology matters, or related fields or a JD with a strong interest in insurance coverage and cyber risk
  • Exposure to first‑ or third‑party claims, technology-related losses, or professional liability claims
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to learn and apply coverage concepts, policy language, and claims processes
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within a specialized claims discipline

 

The expected salary range for this role is $67K-$130K/year.
