Surplus Lines Payables Analyst

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Surplus Lines Payables Analyst. Reporting directly to the Surplus Lines Tax Manager, the Surplus Lines Payables Analyst will play a critical role in our operations by ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of filing documentation to designated states, as well as processing payments accordingly. As a Surplus Lines Payables Analyst, you will directly impact our company's compliance and financial operations. Effective organization, communication, and multitasking skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth and accurate execution of surplus lines filings and payments.

Your impact:

  • File and/or report required policy information into various state websites.
  • Complete filing spreadsheets to be used for tax returns and reporting.
  • Process tax returns and payments timely to states based on filing calendar.
  • Reconcile accounts payable reports to ensure that all policies are accounted for and reported accurately.
  • Provide information to internal brokers and policy representatives regarding documentation, filing, and billing requirements.
  • Complete surplus lines licensing information forms as needed by the office.

Successful Candidates will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in Insurance accounting, state surplus lines filings, and/or insurance billing required
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Customer Service skills and background.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to changing processes and willingness to learn.

Pay Range:

$24.00 - $32.00 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
