Role Overview

Tokio Marine HCC – D&O provides specialized insurance products. The Underwriting position is based in Jersey City, NJ and focuses on Financial Institutions and/or public commercial accounts within the D&O Group. This role is designed to support the development of underwriting expertise through hands-on experience, exposure to real accounts, and collaboration with experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow underwriting guidelines to submit financial review along with exposure, loss and coverage analysis for new and renewal business

  • Develop understanding of policy forms and coverage language and support discussions with brokers and clients

  • Support broker relationship management and participate in underwriting discussions

  • Participate in underwriting meetings and client interactions

  • Contribute to identifying new business opportunities while maintaining profitability

  • Build knowledge of financial, economic, and industry trends relevant to underwriting

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Previous work experience in the relevant areas of Management Liability

  • Internship or academic experience in finance, insurance, or a related field is a plus, but not required

Pay Transparency

The pay range for this position is  $76,500 - $114,700 which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
