Product Owner - Advisor Experience

Job Description

As a Product Owner I, Advisor Experience at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the digital experience for our advisors. You will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering features that optimize advisor workflows, improve engagement, and ultimately drive business growth.

You will

  • Actively listen to advisor feedback, conduct research, and analyze data to understand pain points and identify opportunities for improvement within the advisor experience.

  • Translate business needs and user stories into clear, concise, and actionable requirements, managing the product backlog and prioritizing features based on business value and strategic alignment.

  • Collaborate closely with agile development teams, ensuring a shared understanding of product vision and requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Utilize analytical acumen and data analysis skills to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for advisor-facing products, identifying trends and recommending data-driven solutions for continuous improvement.

  • Drive business process improvements related to advisor interactions and digital tools, identifying areas for optimization and implementing change management strategies.

  • Participate in the digital transformation initiatives, leveraging knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to explore and implement innovative solutions that enhance the advisor experience.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for advisors and internal stakeholders on new product features and functionalities.

  • Employ empathy to understand advisor challenges and advocate for their needs, ensuring a user-centric approach to product development.

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with product development and deployment, implementing appropriate risk management strategies.

  • Influence stakeholders at various levels to gain alignment on product vision, priorities, and roadmap.

  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members on product ownership best practices.

You have

  • Proven experience working within an Agile methodology framework.

  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in requirements management, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.

  • Experience with change management principles and their application in product adoption.

  • Excellent active listening and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Strong empathy for users and a customer-centric mindset.

  • Ability to facilitate training sessions effectively.

  • Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and their application in product success measurement.

  • Understanding of risk management principles in a product development context.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build strong collaborative relationships.

  • Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and their potential application in business solutions.

  • Experience with business process improvements.

  • Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

Salary Range:

$95,170.00 - $156,355.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
