We are seeking a detail-oriented Inside Property Claims Representative II to investigate, evaluate, and settle property insurance claims through telephone and virtual methods. This position is responsible for independently handling complex claims, analyzing coverage, conducting thorough investigations, and delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring timely and accurate claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and settle assigned property insurance claims through telephone and virtual interactions.
Independently manage large or complex claims with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
Identify, secure, and analyze information related to property losses, verify policy coverage, establish appropriate reserves, and determine claim liability and settlement recommendations.
Maintain complete and accurate claim files documenting loss details, communications, investigations, and settlement activity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Gather loss information, scope damages, create diagrams, secure damage photos, coordinate with vendors, prepare estimates, issue settlement payments, and communicate claim outcomes to policyholders.
Review property damage reports, estimates, and photographs submitted by Independent Adjusters and make corrections or recommendations as needed.
Utilize sound judgment, investigative techniques, and claims expertise to arrive at fair and accurate claim decisions.
Identify potential fraudulent claims or losses involving responsible third parties and refer matters to the appropriate department for further investigation.
Qualifications
College degree in a related field preferred.
Three or more years of property claims handling experience preferred.
Texas All-Lines or Property & Casualty Adjuster License required.
Valid Texas Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
Requires working onsite in Brenham, TX, three days per week.
Strong knowledge of computers, common business software, claims management systems, and estimating platforms.
