Position Summary: The Senior Account Coordinator position provides a wide variety of administrative support to a team of internal account managers and maintains a professional relationship with our external clients. Manages and maintains a minimal book of business consisting of small groups.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Delivers outstanding customer service
• Analyzes carrier information and maintains spreadsheets and carrier websites, and manages House Bill requests
• Assists in marketing of accounts as directed by account managers
• Assists with the preparation of reports, proposals, and other presentation materials
• Audits billing statements for accuracy on behalf of clients
• Generates open enrollment materials such as enrollment guides, election forms, personalized confirmation sheets, enrollment/change forms
• Assists in processing necessary paperwork for submission to the carrier
• Assists with compliance projects as directed by account managers
• Completes special projects as assigned
• Attends and presents at local enrollment/client meetings as needed
• Manages and maintains a book of business that consists of minimum threshold accounts, including renewal processes, compliance, and ongoing service of accounts
• Acts as mentor and leader for novice account coordinators, including providing training as requested
• Maintains agency files accurately and consistently, processes incoming mail requests accurately and swiftly
• Attends and completes any training sessions or assignments as required
• Performs other related tasks as needed

Experience and Education:
• 2+ years of employee benefits and account management experience in the insurance field preferred, including a strong understanding of current employee benefits, regulations, and industry standards
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Licensing and Credentials:
• Active Life & Health License required
Systems:
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
• Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
• Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
• Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
