The Project Manager Supervisor leads and develops a team responsible for planning and delivering projects aligned with business and organizational objectives. This role oversees team performance, workload, and resource capacity while providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective planning, governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and execution. The position partners with business and technical leaders to resolve complex issues, facilitate decisions, promote consistent project management practices, and continuously improve team performance and project outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members by setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular performance feedback, coaching, training, and support for workload management, productivity, issue resolution, professional growth, and job performance.
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance evaluations, personnel documentation, adherence to company policies and procedures, and providing recommendations regarding hiring, salary adjustments, and separation decisions to leadership.
- Support strategic planning and resource management by evaluating team priorities, capacity, and organizational needs, while aligning team activities and project roadmaps with divisional and corporate objectives.
- Review project plans, scope, resources, dependencies, requirements, and readiness to support successful execution.
- Identify and address project risks, issues, gaps, and barriers to delivery.
- Guide project managers in managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and changing priorities.
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to align project delivery with business needs and objectives.
- Coordinate across business, technology, vendors, and other partners to support alignment and successful delivery.
- Lead and support project meetings, risk reviews, and escalations to drive decisions, accountability, and issue resolution.
- Monitor and communicate project progress, risks, impacts, and trends affecting delivery or organizational priorities.
- Promote consistent project management practices, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Supervisors and managers are required to have completed NYCM’s internal leadership development programs, including Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2). Exeternal hires must complete required leadership programs, Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2).
Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development experience with the ability to train others.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices, including scope, schedule, resources, budget, risk, dependencies, governance, and delivery.
- Ability to connect team priorities and project activities to broader business objectives, evaluate competing demands, and allocate resources effectively.
- Ability to assess complex or ambiguous situations, identify root issues, evaluate options and tradeoffs, and drive timely resolution or escalation.
- Ability to establish productive partnerships, understand stakeholder needs and expectations, manage differing perspectives, and build alignment.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and drive discussions toward decisions and action.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Market Range: 14 / Exempt- 40 hours per week / Hybrid- 3 days in office
Salary: $86,136-$143,560
