Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops summary of data to support quarterly loss experience analysis for distribution to actuarial and functional leaders.
Supports development of experience analysis to drive continuous improvements in group benefits pricing, reserve accuracy, and structural efficiency.
Gathers and analyzes data needed to support emerging issues.
Develops reports summarizing financial results by critical parameters.
Writes queries against databases required to perform desired analyses.
Writes reports to support analyses.
Provides ad hoc support to Pricing, Claims and/or Underwriting as required.
Continuous progress on actuarial exams.
All other duties as assigned.
Education, Qualifications and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or other programs focused on quantitative analysis required.
Completion of 1-3 Society of Actuaries exams.
Skilled in spreadsheet and database software usage.
Ability to learn R and SQL
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read and interpret complex charts and statistics from printed or other sources.
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
